Helllo everyone!
It's been a while, I know, but I have some really exciting news! For those of you familiar with the 2D Chat Avatar chatlands like Wolfhome and Cat Paws Island, Underdog (the creator of Wolfhome and chatlands) has announced and started a Kickstarter ( https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wunderwood/chatlands-2020-2d-avatar-chat-expansion?ref=cnjp5a&token=3729bdeb ) to give the chats a MUCH needed update! He's planning on rewriting the very OLD coding of the chats using fresh, new, modern day code.
With this upcoming update, I'm hoping that we can get people interested in joining or rejoining chats as a lot of the user base left, sadly, and I think a lot of it has to do with how outdated the chats are. ): Not to mention that smartphones and tablets have become much more popular and convenient for people to use and chatlands never worked on these devices...until now!
Another feature of this upcoming update is compatibility with smartphones and tablets, so if you don't have or don't use a PC, you can still get on chatlands using your phone or tablet! That's amazing imo.
I know that some people simply outgrew chats and have no desire to return, and that's completely fine! Chatlands isn't for everyone, but if it's something you think you'd be interested in, PLEASE check out the Kickstarter campaign that I linked above! There's a ton more info on there that I haven't covered here that you should definitely read. If you can't donate, don't worry! Sharing and chatting about the Kickstarter helps as well! If you're just not interested, maybe you know someone who might be, but whatever the case, please share if you don't mind!
I cannot express how excited I am for the update, but I also want to apologize for the lack of art. I'm currently doing Uber Eats and DoorDash full time now so I have less time to work on art. Unfortunately I'm not in a position where I can sustain myself doing freelance or commission based work and I often lose motivation to draw, BUT I'm hoping to change that as I'm re-inspired by this update!
I'd also like to mention that chatlands isn't solely animal based either. If you have human characters or other sorts of characters, you can use them on chats as well! Different chats allow different species. <:

Tablet Issues
So instead I ordered a universal phone charger so I'm able to just use wireless. :] This is why art has been pretty slow, not just the past few weeks but the past few months because I'd get fed up fighting with my tablet trying to get it to work lmao.
Just a little update for you all, but hopefully by Saturday my charger arrives and I'm able to get back into the swing of things. <: Thanks for your patience. ♥
